Comics + ClaudeCode + Power BI = Awesome!
Last week I finished up the first version of a new dashboard. This one is special because it utilized data that I created with the help of a ClaudeCode process to create a dashboard of my own collection!
I keep track of what I own using a system called ComicBase which has it’s own set of reports and can even post them directly to my on-line account that I can view via their app - very handy! However it does have many limitations and I wanted something more robust that cold help me identify books that are worth selling, now that I’m getting into that more.
So here’s what I did:
- I got an export of my collection
- Used Claude Code to fill in gaps, which it did for over 27,000 issues! I filled in the rest manually, it didn’t take that long.
- Then I created a new dashboard with 4 sheets that analyses by graded books, compares, my collection by newly designated groups, and helps identify books that I can sell.
I have updated my dataset a few times and can easily refresh it in minutes. My next plan is to upgrade it with a dashboard showing issues I’m missing if runs I care about. But first, I’ll get back to a few other projects.
