Senior Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Specialist with 20+ years of experience across healthcare, enterprise analytics, and CRM systems. Most recently in the healthcare industry, where I designed and maintained complex ETL pipelines using Alteryx — automating data extraction, transformation, and loading processes that dramatically reduced manual reporting time and improved data accuracy across the organization. I developed executive-level Tableau and Power BI dashboards, built KPI frameworks, and served as the go-to subject matter expert for Tableau, Alteryx, and Jira.

My strength is in the full data pipeline — from raw, messy source data all the way through to a clean, actionable visualization that a non-technical executive can use to make decisions. I've worked with large, complex claims datasets, CRM systems, and cross-functional data integrations, and I bring both the technical depth to build the right solution and the communication skills to explain why it matters.

I hold an Applied Data Science certification from MIT and I'm actively expanding my skillset — including predictive modeling, machine learning, and acoustic species classification through Kaggle competitions. The data world keeps evolving and so do I.

LB Cole Census Analysis Dashboard

LB Cole Collection vs. Census Dashboard

A personal analytics dashboard measuring my LB Cole comic collection against the broader CGC census — because if you're going to obsess over something for 40 years, you might as well build a dashboard for it.

Built using a custom Python web scraper to pull live census data directly from the CGC website, combined with my personal collection data and visualized in Tableau. The full pipeline — scraping, cleaning, merging, and visualization — was built end to end.

Header KPIs summarize the collection at a glance: 206 books owned, 2 finest known copies, 90 books ranking in the CGC top 10, and an average census rank of 19. The centerpiece is a dumbbell plot showing every owned book with two data points: my copy's CGC grade versus the census ceiling (finest known). The gap between dots represents upgrade potential — a built-in want list hiding in plain sight.

Genre and Label Type slicers allow filtering by collecting category or restoration grade, giving a fully customizable view of the collection.

LB Cole Census Analysis — Sleeper Book & Population Dashboard

A second analytical view of the LB Cole CGC census, focusing on population distribution, grade scarcity, and collecting opportunity — essentially a market research tool for serious collectors.

Header KPIs frame the landscape: 23 unique publishers produced LB Cole covers, 103 books have never had a copy grade 8.0 or higher, and only 277 total copies across the entire LB Cole universe achieve that threshold — just 12.4% of all graded copies. Six books have no CGC graded copies at all.

The centerpiece is a custom Sleeper Score — a metric I developed to identify books where the highest percentage of submitted copies grade 6.0 or above relative to total population. These are books most likely to be undervalued: high grade copies exist, but collector attention hasn't caught up yet. Dread of Night #1 stands out as a significant outlier.

The right chart breaks down graded copy counts by grade band and genre — Horror dominates at lower grades but thins out considerably at the highest tier, while Adventure and Crime show more balanced distributions. Genre and Publisher slicers allow deep filtering of both charts simultaneously for targeted research.

Moneyball: Efficiency & ROI Dashboard

A Power BI dashboard analyzing MLB franchise efficiency — measuring cost per win, payroll index, and operating margin across eras and teams. Inspired by the Moneyball philosophy of finding value where others don't look. Built using Retrosheet historical data with dynamic filtering by era, franchise, and win tier.

This project showcases end-to-end dashboard design — from data sourcing and cleaning through to an interactive executive-level visualization.

AI Created Reading App

Built for my daughter Maggie to make learning to read fun and interactive. The app speaks words and sounds aloud and prompts her to repeat them, reinforcing phonics through games and repetition. It tracks correct answers in a row and overall progress — giving her a sense of achievement and giving me a way to see how she's doing.

Built entirely with AI assistance as a learning project — proof that with the right tools, you don't need to be a software engineer to build something genuinely useful for someone you love.

Kaggle — Active Competitor

I came to Kaggle to push beyond dashboards and into the deeper end of data science — predictive modeling, machine learning, and Python at scale. Competing is how I learn best: real datasets, real problems, real feedback.

In just a few months I've built out datasets, notebooks, and competition entries across a range of domains — from biological classification to sports analytics. The profile keeps growing and so does the skillset.
